Who am I?
My name is Tori. I’m a photographer, writer, runner, baker, womxn and a whole lot of other things who primarily lives in Bozeman, Montana and out of a suitcase.
This project is born out of years of wanting to photograph womxn in a more meaningful way but never quite knowing what that looked like in the living breathing world. To be frank, I’m still not quite sure, but my heart said start where you’re at.
This project is born out of recent struggles with disordered eating that have highlighted just how not enough I’ve felt.
This project is born out of the realization that I’m a privileged white woman and yet when I look at the examples of what it means to be a womxn in our culture, I still feel like I don’t fit. What the hell must it be like if you’re you’re a human even further outside the ‘norm’?
And this project is born out of the way photography has served as a healing tool in my own life.
